Avegant Glyph review

The Avegant Glyph is pretty ridiculous looking, kind of uncomfortable and pretty awesome. The headset blast 720p HD video directly into your retinas. Dieter Bohn breaks down his experience with it in this review.

Maybe a bit exspensive at 700 but 350 leaves no room to come down. Right now its at 549, it looks cool and shows a drone but needs to have hatch and pins for varius drone racing frequencies.

Reduce the weight, reduce the price, and you forgot one other thing… reduce the brightness (or provide lower settings).

I have the Sony HMZ and it is a few years old and thought I would try this new tech out. Incredible sound, video not so good and gave me a headache. Sent it back today after one days use.

I used one on a train ride and it was the absolute best. Yeah, you do have to adjust it at start, but my vision sucks and they STILL can adjust it to work without my glasses.

Got them for my Phantom 4 Pro. So far, so good. Much better than the Fat Shark Dominators, at least as far as clarity goes. No diopters needed. Clarity and brightness are amazing.

No interest in going blind. I'm almost 40 and I still can see without glasses. I see people who buy themselves and their children VR headsets. Many tell me it affected their eyes so much that they stopped wearing them all together. Their doctors said wearing them for many hours will damage their eyesight. People tell me VR or video headsets is the future for gaming and watching video. I always tell them, I care about my eyes and would rather loose my eyesight naturally.

What about people who suffer with eye problems? What about blue light problems that causes eye strain and insomnia? What about people with photosensitive epilepsy? What about Irland syndrome? How much damage does that after Vision have an effect on your eyes? There's too many questions that hasn't been answered

people, this is designed for fpv drones, it's the remote viewing of the drone, the reason is so expensive is because of it's hd low latency screen, not to mention it looks cool

Well, they don't really need to make those adjustments if your already buying then regardless of those complaints.

I can safely say I will never get one of these things. My eyesight has deteriorated a lot since becoming a designer and spending my life staring at a screen a couple of feet away from my face – I can only imagine how much this would mess my sight up after that.
