It looks like Apple are becoming experts in presenting "dongles" [pun intended] to us, consumers.
    And we pay for them.
    Women and men, alike (sic).

Why has Apple turned to such a wretched company?
    Utterly abject…

    George from Hellas.

NB: in my country, the new iPad 11" / Wi-Fi / 64GB, costs 969 euros, the new Pencil costs 159 euros and the respective Smart Keyboard folio costs 229 euros.
What a "dongle", wouldn't you say?..

What pisses me is that neither last years pencil nor keyboard can be used with this new version. If you exchange the old pro for the new one, there is a loss with all the accessories! Also, Surface Pro 6 is a full fledged laptop in these dimensions, while Ipad Pro has still got a way to go before doing what the surface pro could achieve, like the folder operations, external drives, etc. We are also on the cusp of 5G coming in. So, its better not to spend so much on a tech, especially the 4G connectivity, that will be obsolete in a year or two. Then there is the flexible AMOLED panels coming in next year as well which would get you the phone/pad/laptop all-in-one. All these pads will look 20th century once that comes around.

for the people who say why he was slow. he did it in purpose, the slower he is, the longer the video will be, thus more ads in the video which makes them the money they want from this video

"It looks like the top part of a macbook pro" — you mean the screen???

Dude… this is a terrible video – do you know anything about tech???
The keyboard does need charging…it is powered via the smart connectors!!!

The old pencil wont work because of it's pairing method – you have to plug into the lightning — it will be interesting to see if you can get a usbc to lightning adaptor to pair up the apple pencil.
